End Line Evaluation of Sustainable Action against Declining Sex Ratio at Birth in the States of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab




Public Foundation, India supported community level initiatives to address the issue of declining sex ratio in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. The community based interventions were undertaken by the NGOs, by forming community groups, organizing community actions and organizing various IEC activities in the selected districts for a period of three years.

TRIOs conducted the end line evaluation for program in these three states.

The evaluation looked at following key questions;

  • Exploring feasibility of scaling up the project
  • To what extent objectives of the interventions were realized?
  • Efficacy and effectiveness of the strategies adopted
  • Assessment of the institutional capacity of partner NGOs

Key services provided by TRIOs for the evaluation included development of study tools, training of field team, qualitative data collection, data processing and analysis and report writing.
