Save the Children and Magic Bus India Foundation have planned pilot interventions in rural and urban areas in four states- Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu to promote healthy lifestyles in households. The aim of this Mondelez International supported 3 year project called ‘Shubh Arambh’ is to improve the health, nutrition and development status of children in project locations by improving the feeding practices among mothers, health seeking behaviour of the community, and the government-supported health, nutrition and childhood development services meant for the community. The three pillars of the project are: Nutrition Education, Active Play and Fresh Foods.
TRIOs conducted the multi-state baseline study for the project in all 4 states using two stages 30X7 cluster sampling methodology at both case and control sites. Data was collected through quantitative HH survey, FGDs with stakeholders and BMI measurements of children aged up to 14 years.
