Baseline study on child trafficking and labour in Andhra Pradesh and Bangalore for Plan India

The Plan India, in association with their NGO partners, attempted to strengthen prevention, prosecution and protection services for the children at risk or subjected to trafficking for labour in Andhra Pradesh and Bangalore.

TRIOs was engaged to conduct a baseline study to gather the data and establish indicators on the issue, for monitoring and benchmarking the results and impact of the project. In addition, it was proposed to identify the hotspots and conduct profiling the role of duty bearers to address these issues. It was proposed to use multi stage cluster sampling (45×10) methodology for conducting the baseline using both quantitative and qualitative methods.

As final deliverable of assignment, TRIOs  submitted  the  baseline study report that outlined the key indicators, the context of the child labour and the roles of duty bearers. The key recommendations were also included in the final report.
