Maternal Health Research: London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and TRIOs collaborative research

London School of Hygiene and Topical Medicine (LSHTM) and TRIOs  collaboratively undertake quantitative and qualitative research using Ethnographic methodology  on maternal healthcare social franchise programmes in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh

The Social Franchisee Programmes is an innovative approach to establish a network offering high-quality and affordable private maternal and child health (MCH) services. Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) for Mothers [MfM] launched this global initiative in 2011 and has partnered with three leading non-governmental organizations to implement it.

TRIOs collaboratively carry out case studies of the two Indian social franchising models—the Matrika model in Uttar Pradesh and the Merrygold franchise in Rajasthan and also the qualitative element of the impact evaluation of the Matrika model in Uttar Pradesh.
