Endline-Evaluation of Adolescent Education Programme (AEP), Red Ribbon Clubs(RRCs) and folk media campaign in Chandigarh




Increasing scientific knowledge about HIV/AIDS and its consequences is crucial for combating the spread of the disease. Youths are most at risk for contracting HIV/AIDS; therefore strategies/ interventions have been formulated keeping them in mind.

Under NACP-III following programs have been undertaken for prevention of HIV/AIDS among adolescents, youths and others.

  • Red Ribbon Clubs in colleges (RRC)
  • Adolescence Education Programme (AEP) in schools
  • Folk performance etc.

CSACS engaged the services of TRIOs to evaluate the above three intervention in the UT of Chandigarh. The evaluation included quantitative survey covering adolescents and youths; IDIs with key stakeholders; desk review and process documentation
