Urban Health Planning: Participatory resource mapping, Micro-planning and development of Slum Wise Monitoring frame work for implementing health and WASH program in selected urban slums in Delhi- Save The Children

Save the Children is implementing urban health program to address child survival, primary health care, nutrition and water and sanitation issues with focus on empowering communities by equipping them with health related awareness, and thus promoting community level actions to increase demand for quality healthcare services including nutrition and Water Sanitation services in Urban slums in Delhi.

TRIOs supported in developing participatory plan on Health, nutrition, water and sanitation with well-defined roles and responsibility of the different stakeholders and to establish the monitoring mechanism in the slums. The slum wise micro plan covered issues such as:  Health: Pre and post-partum care, Immunization; Nutrition: Management of Malnutrition, ICDS functionality; Water: Availability and accessibility of safe drinking water and Sanitation, functionality of community toilets and household in the slums.
