National level study and development of Operational Framework for Enhanced Access for Adolescent Reproductive & Sexual Health (ARSH) services in the public health facilities in India- Ford Foundation
The Project aimed to assess the provision of ARSH services in the public health facilities and develop an operational framework to enable the establishment of functional ARSH services in public health settings to meet the varied SRH needs of adolescents and to mainstream ARSH in health interventions across the country. The field studies were done in eight states- Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Orissa Tamil Nadu and Delhi or this assignment.
The project was carried out by:
- Field studies across various health facilities, tertiary, secondary and primary
- Assessment of ARSH services
- Interviewed160 service providers across these facilities to understand their perspectives
- FGDs with adolescent boys and girls and discussions with key stakeholders.
The study findings were shared at a national level consultation workshop organized in Delhi and another with the Orissa Govt.
