Evaluation of Multiple Projects in Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana supported by Plastic Omnium, Virasat Foundation, Studiosus, and Wimbledon”-Magic Bus Foundation India
Magic Bus works with adolescents and youth from underserved backgrounds who are most vulnerable to poverty. For the last nineteen years, it has facilitated the development of adolescents into responsible adults with greater control and choice. The organization has been a pioneer in delivering Activity-Based-Curriculum programmes in India, through an innovative Sport for Development approach.
MBIF till now reached out to 7,667 young leaders, from the community who have been trained to mentor and deliver the sports activity-based sessions to children across 798 schools. Besides this the organization also extended skill development support to over 10000 young people through 42 Livelihood centres across the country. To achieve the journey of life skills to employability, MBIF has been implementing four projects supported by Plastic Omnium, Varasat Foundation, Wimbledon and Studiosus, at four locations in Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana. The projects are at various stages of implementation and accordingly TRIOs is conducting evaluations of these four projects.
The evaluations is being carried out using mix of quantitative and qualitative methods. As per the scope of work for the assignment TRIOs will train and deploy a qualified and experienced field team for data collection in the field. The quantitative data will be collected from adolescents in school as well as in community using CAPI technique (android based Survey CTO application) and qualitative information will be collected through focus group discussion with parents and in-depth interviews with school heads, teachers and SMC members and documentation of success stories. The supervisory team will conduct the monitoring visits and quality checks during data collection. The data analysis will be carried out with relevant statistical tests and project wise evaluation reports will be submitted by TRIOs over six months period.
