Research and Evaluation- Multi State Baseline Survey in selected districts of Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh on Health, Nutrition, Fresh Food, Active Play and WASH for ‘ShubhAarambh’ Project”-Save The Children
Save the Children and Magic Bus India Foundation had planned pilot interventions in rural and urban areas in four states- Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu to promote healthy lifestyles in households. The aim of this Mondelez International supported three year project called ‘ShubhArambh’ is to improve the health, nutrition and development status of children in project locations by improving the feeding practices among mothers, health seeking behavior of the community, and the government-supported health, nutrition and childhood development services meant for the community. The three pillars of the project are: Nutrition Education, Active Play and Fresh Foods.
TRIOs conducted the multi-state baseline study for the interventions initiated by the collaborative partners over the project life cycle. The base line study used equivalent case control method and two stage 30X7 cluster sampling with the mix of quantitative and qualitative methods including BMI measurements of 0-14 years children.
