Concurrent Review of National Pilot Scheme of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India- ‘Home delivery of contraceptives (Condoms, OCPs and ECPs) by Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) at the doorstep of beneficiaries’ in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha- Population Foundation of India (PFI)

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, launched a national pilot scheme ‘Home delivery of contraceptives (Condoms, OCPs and ECPs) by Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs).

The Family Planning Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India invited PFI, to conduct a concurrent assessment of this national pilot scheme. TRIOs on behalf of PFI undertook this assessment, and covered the regions of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. The outcomes of the project were focused on aspects of:

Efficacy of the operational and managerial aspects of the scheme and how various stakeholders (including ASHAs) perceived the value of schemes.
