CSR Impact Assessment: Baseline and Impact Assessment of Multi Thematic CSR Interventions in 10 States of India- Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Odisha, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Karnataka and Jharkhand.

TRIOs, in collaboration with TARU Leading Edge (P) Ltd, is conducting a large scale multi-state study for a multi-thematic CSR program in India. The study would be carried out at various locations covering 10 states i.e. Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Odisha, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Karnataka and Jharkhand, Under the program various community-based interventions are being undertaken in thematic areas of health, nutrition, rural development, agriculture, environment conservation, water and sanitation and livelihood. In addition to existing interventions, new initiatives would also be designed, planned and implemented based on the needs of the community that emerges from the current study. The purpose of the study is two-fold i.e.

a) to assess the baseline socio- economic status and needs of community at program locations,
b) to measure the impact of interventions already undertaken under the program at various location.

The study will be conducted using a mixed method approach including quantitative, qualitative and observational methods, covering a sample of 13,300 households in over 30 districts spread over 10 states of India. The household survey will be conducted through CAPI technique using ODK platform on the TABs. In addition to household survey, qualitative data would also be collected through 789 stakeholder’s interviews, 263 focus group discussions with community and 263 village level observations in the project areas.

The key services to be provided by TRIOs under the assignment would include quantitative and qualitative data collection, monitoring and quality assurance, data processing, analysis using relevant statistical methods and submitting 17 location-wise reports with recommendation which will enable for developing the overall future program and implementation strategy.

The findings of this pan India study would provide information on the impact created by the CSR interventions implemented so far in these states. In addition, it will also inform the corporate organization about current needs of the community and baseline status of various indicators at the study locations so that the future program strategy may be developed with setting milestone for next program period.
