WHO WE ARE

Dr Aravind has over three decades of experience in health and development sector. He has served at senior level positions within UN system, International non-governmental organizations, corporate sector, and government. His areas of expertise include decentralised planning, project designing and management, policy support, special studies, and evaluations.   He is also an expert in capacity development programs (both LMS based, and classroom based) and in planning and managing large scale projects with diversified geographical coverage.

Dr. Aravind's academic background uniquely integrates technical and managerial aspects of development sector. He holds a master's degree in (MA) Economics, (MBA) Management, and (PhD) Doctorate in Health policy, planning and management from Birla Institute of Science and Technology (BITS), Pilani, India. He has also done specializations in Hospital Management from Boston University, USA and Health Management from Mahidol University,Thailand. He has contributed to several national and international forums in various capacities and co- authored 11 publications in peer reviewed journals.

Rajan is a development sector expert with 21 years of experience in the fields of health, livelihood, WASH and CSR. He has vast experience in strategic planning and management, providing technical assistance, and monitoring and evaluations support for several projects of government, national and international organizations including the World Bank, UNDP, Aus Aid, GIZ, DFID, USAID etc. His core skills include project planning and monitoring, management of large-scale surveys/ studies, conducting research and evaluations, technical assistance and system strengthening. He has lead several key assignments in health and development sector.

Prior to joining TRIOs, he has been a part of senior management at many prestigious organisations such as GMR Foundation, USAID-supported Vistaar project, and Himachal Pradesh Chapter of the Voluntary Health Association of India. Rajan holds an MBA and Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Himachal Pradesh University.

Chandramouli has over 25 years of experience in market research and advisory sector. His expertise is in the consumer and market segment providing services to the Government, International and national agencies, including the World Bank, ADB, IFC, DFID, CII, ACMA and APEDA and private sector clients in fields of industrial and economic research and analysis. His core competencies are in the areas of market surveys and analysis in B2B and B2C studies, large scale skill development, gap analysis and livelihood assessments, decentralised program/ project designing and planning and Institutional/ resource planning and management

He has held several leadership positions prior to joining TRIOs and worked with MRSS India as its Head- Government Practice, and Nielson in Senior Management positions. He has been extensively involved in projects across industry verticals such as textiles, power & energy, automobile, tourism, pharma, etc., 

Hetal is a management expert and brings over 24 years of experience in operations, project management and implementation in both government and private sector. Her expertise is in areas of activity-based budgeting, workflow planning and monitoring, networking and coordination, field monitoring and evaluation, budget controls, project administrations and reporting. At TRIOs, she is engaged in field coordination, HR management, trainings and capacity building, qualitative data collection (IDIs, FGDs etc), field review meetings, field monitoring, logistic management, overall budgeting and finance and accounting.

Hetal worked extensively in the health sector with the Government of Gujarat in various capacities. She was regional program coordinator for RCH-II/NRHM providing overall program management support for five districts and was Operations Officer at the State Health Systems Resource Centre (SHSRC) managed by EPOS. She also brings experience of working in the finance sector in UK where she was Accounts Assistant for Bestway Cash and Carry Ltd. Hetal has done her MBA (Finance and Marketing) from Gujarat University and holds a Diploma in Computer Applications from Gujarat University.

Satyendra is an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation expert with over 16 years of experience in handling large scale surveys and data management. He specializes in survey quality management, data quality management, development and programming of research tools for digital surveys and data analytics. His competency areas include designing research protocols, program development for CAPI-based data collection, data processing and management, statistical analysis, capacity building of field teams for data collection and transfer and monitoring of field work for timely completion of projects with quality.

He has been part of more than 22 large scale surveys including National Family Health Survey (NFHS) 4 and 5 and Annual Health Surveys. He has handled several evaluation projects and was prime evaluation expert for the projects - Baseline and Impact Evaluation of CSR projects, Case Study and Impact Evaluation of Social Franchisee Model of Maternal Health Care Program in India undertaken in collaboration with London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Concurrent Monitoring/End line of SWASTH program in Bihar for BTAST/DFID. Satyendra holds an MSc in Statistics from Banaras Hindu University and Advanced Diploma in Software Technology certified by the Software Technology Group Pvt. Ltd.

Pallavi Singh is a management professional with 21 years’ experience in multiple areas of business development, human resource management, training and capacity building and teaching. She steers the business development activities at TRIOs and coordinates human resource management. She has also gained experience in the fields of education, women empowerment, Women's health and hygiene-related areas.

Pallavi has done BSc, B Ed and MBA in Marketing.

Aniva has done her MA (Anthropology) and M Phil (Social Anthropology) from Delhi University. She is a Social Anthropologist with 10 years' experience in social and industrial market research. Her core competencies in qualitative research include ethnography, observational studies, in depth interviews and critical analysis of qualitative studies, case studies and documentation. She has expertise of implementing programs, coordinating projects and conducting workshops / seminars among target communities and client groups. As part of her project management efforts, Aniva has been involved in planning and designing research interventions and analytical frameworks for understanding and assessing research assignments for cross-sectoral studies in affirmative action, natural resource management ethnographic profiling of mountain communities and corporate social responsibility projects. She has worked as qualitative researcher for London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) project on social franchising in India.

Dr. Mohanty is a medical professional with more than 3 decades of experience in health programmes that ranges from conceptualisation, project designing and implementation, providing technical assistance, quality assurance, M&E for Urban and Rural Health programmes. He has worked with international and national governments and development partners such as USAID, EU, GFATM, UNICEF, WHO, WB, ECHO and UNDP at various levels. He has served as a Country Health Director of Merlin in Afghanistan, supporting international efforts in post war health sector rehabilitation and Project Review Committee member of UNITAD, Geneva.

Anil has over 23 years of experience in disaster risk reduction and socio- economic development planning and management. He has proven competence in spearheading multi-sectoral planning, Community Interventions, Inclusive Programming in Public Health, Poverty, Livelihood (Microfinance, skill-building), Education, Human Development & Disaster Risk Reduction. He expertises in developing Village Disaster Management Plans and School Disaster Management Plans. He started his career with tribal and ecology research for Union Ministry of Environment and Forests; rural research for the Multi-Sectoral Development (educational and economic) Plan for the Religious Minorities for the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. He has done MBA in Disaster Management from Indraprastha University, New Delhi and M. Phil in Planning and Development from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai.

Shah is an experienced financial expert. He has over 2 decades of experience in developing e-Finance management systems, management accounting, and project finance along with systems strengthening and audits. He has proven track record of making significant contributions in setting up electronic financial management systems and real time finance monitoring, at the same time bringing about considerable cost reductions, while ensuring efficiency in government programs. He is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Dr. Juyal is a health economist specialising in planning and public finance in heath. He has more than three decades of experience in health policy, health and hospital sector reform (including decentralisation and regionalisation of services and facilities) and management experience in planning, M&E, in public health, including RCH, NRHM and HIV/AIDS. He has served in senior positions in international organisations such as DFID, European Commission, World Bank, Abt Associates, among others. He has done his MSc Epidemiology and Health planning from University of Wales, UK and PhD from Meerut University, India.

Subir is a Sociologist by training and has over ten years of experience working on the DNTs of India on questions dealing with their marginalisation, stigma, poverty and human rights. He has looked into issues of their education and the ways in which they stake claim to commons and citizenship. Subir is also interested in the politics and aesthetics of protest movements of the 21st century particularly those involving youth and mediated by new age technology and tries to critically analyse themes related with democracy, nationalism and academic freedom. He has worked in various capacities with think tanks and funding agencies.

Subir has presented his papers at national and international seminars and conferences and invited for Workshops and Summer Schools. He has many seminal publications to his credit in leading journals and has chapters in edited books and has received prestigious national and international awards, fellowships and travel grants. Recently, he was selected for the 2021 MSM Bright Suns Scholarship and was elected as the Vice Ambassador for India (2021-23) for EASA’s (European Association for Social Anthropology) AAN (Applied Anthropology Network). Besides, he was a National Child Rights Research Fellow (NCRRF) (2019-20) (cancelled due to the pandemic), Tata Education and Development Trust Fellow (2017-18), Sir Charles Wallace Fellow (2011-12), Ford Foundation Visiting Fellow (2011-12), Sir Ratan Tata Trust Library Fellow, 2009-10, and a University Grants Commission Fellow (2001-11). Subir has a Post Doc from the NIAS, Bangalore and a PhD in Sociology from the JNU, New Delhi.

Ashish is a Computer professional and Certified Product Manager with experience in IT support and Cloud Integration.  Prior to TRIOs, he was working with Dropbox HQ in San Francisco, USA as Cloud Integration Specialist. He has expertise in MySQL workbench and SQL to interact with database specifically for Dell Boomi integration processes. He has developed Boomi process frameworks used in multiple Boomi business automation and worked on exception re-processing automation that reduced manual effort of the team. Besides, he has expertise in IT networking, digital technology, and product management.

Ashish has done his B Tech (Computer Science & Engineering), MS (Computer Science), Cal Poly State University, USA. He is also a Certified Product Manager, Product Management School, SFO, USA. 

Dr Saqib has over Six years of experience in the development sector and social research. His interest areas include social movements, social history, and development and change. His core skills are in formulating research designs, developing research proposals, research and educational tool development and in social and development research analysis and documentation.

Saqib’s areas of expertise include rural development, livelihood and migration issues, designing community development Interventions and technical support programs. He has worked in various capacities at the Tricontinental Institute for Social Research, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and Centre for Environment Education and has experience of working in the academic, government and private sectors. He has designed popular research and reading materials on history, social movements and political economy while at Tricontinental Institute for Social Research, Delhi. He has supervised the survey team of the project “Multi-Sectoral Development Plan for Malegaon” commissioned by State Minority Commission, Govt of Maharashtra. He designed activities for National Green Corps program, designed environment education tools for schools and coordinated with state government environment agencies in Madhya Pradesh. He also has published research articles in leading journals and regularly contributes to online portals on current issues. Saqib completed his MA in Development Studies and has MPhil and PhD in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.

Ankit Pahariya is a qualified finance professional with more than 14 years of work experience. He shares a long term business relationship with TRIOs Development Support Private limited. Current he is working in the capacity of Accounts Officer. He has vast work experience in social and Private sector organizations and enhanced skills in Accounting, Taxations and Auditing. His contribution to TRIOs is highly appreciable. He is the nodal person for maintaining general accounting, handling taxes and payments, reconciliations, preparing monthly project reports for management, etc. Additionally, he contributes in preparation of the annual balance sheet and its schedules etc.

Dr. Tanya is a public health professional with expertise in project cycle management including designing research projects, preparing research tools, organizing surveys, writing reports, and creating manuscripts. She has served as a consultant for prestigious organization like ICMR in the past. She also has experience on monitoring and evaluation of health and wellness programs. She has keen interest in understanding the schematics of health policies and implementation strategies. She is an admirable communicator with ability to blend-in the tools of media literacy. She uses this strength to create and implement effective community outreach modules which has helped in uplifting the literacy quotient of the underprivileged sector of the society. She has created work systems that speed up the process of attaining project milestones.

Dr Tanya is also a keen and voracious reader, keeping acquaintance with health policies and relevant literature in journals and social sites. She is not only an active public health researcher but also a top-grade writer and poet, with several national and state level awards in her basket. She has done her Bachelors in Dental Surgery (BDS) from Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana and Master in Public health (MPH) from GD Goenka University, Haryana.

Gajender Sharma is a Management Professional with over 12 years of work experience in administration and IT Support. At TRIOs he is working as Operations Associate. His core areas of work involve managing day to day operations and logistic requirement of the office, liasioning with partners and service provider agencies for AMCs – for repair & maintenance of office infrastructure, HR management, maintain records, backups, data entry, Stock maintenance and basic level IT support. Gajender completed his MBA (HR& IT) from Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut (UP).

Smriti is a research associate with a keen interest in Statistical Analysis, Research Tools development, data base management and data quality Monitoring. She has deep understanding of various research concepts like Sampling, Data handling, Analysis and Reporting. She works in software like SPSS and different programing languages.

She brings around 7 years of experience in Finance especially in the areas of accounting, finance and taxation including Good and services Tax (GST) and Annual Compliances of the company. She is good at Preparing accounts and tax returns, monitoring spending and budgets. Auditing and analyzing financial performance, financial forecasting, and risk analysis. Prior to joining TRIOs, she has been working with renowned audit firms for various company audits. Mamta has done her B.Com from Delhi University and Certificate courses in Direct and Indirect Taxations.
